Asayiş announce permanent truce in Qamishlo unless mercenaries violate it

The Internal Security Forces (Asayiş) announced a permanent truce in Qamishlo in response to the mediation and guarantee of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Russian forces, and called on the people of the Tayy neighborhood to return to their homes, and the security forces pledged to protect them.

The Media Center of the Asayiş - NE Syria issued a statement regarding the latest developments regarding tensions in Qamishlo, and said in the statement:

“Guaranteed by of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Russian forces, a permanent truce was reached if there were no violations of the National Defense mercenaries against our forces.

Tayy neighborhood residents who left their homes due to the escalation carried out by the militia, and all those who wish to return to their homes, can review our checkpoints to secure their entry and ensure the safety of their properties, tomorrow, Monday, April 26.

We are in the Internal Security Forces of NE Syria, as we affirm that protecting the people is one of our duties and priorities, and that the people of Tayy neighborhood are an essential part of Qamishlo, the city of brotherhood and coexistence.
