Commander in Asayiş: We commit to ceasefire in response to SDF's mediation

The leader of the Internal Security Forces-women (Asayiş) in the Jazirah region, Halat Hassan, said: “The ceasefire came in response to the SDF’s appeal as a mediator alongside the Russian military police. The exact time depends on the final meeting that will be held tomorrow.

The commander's statement in Jazira region Halat Hassan, came in an interview to Hawar Agency from inside Al-Tayy neighborhood, after the announcement of the ceasefire that the internal security forces had abode to.

She said that several hours ago, I instructed our forces to remain in a position of self-defense and to abide by the ceasefire until 10 am of tomorrow.

She confirmed that the timing of ceasefire depends on the outcomes of the anticipated tripartite meeting between the leadership of the Internal Security Forces in Jazira region, the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Russian military police, to be held tomorrow.

She added, "We accepted the appeal of the Syrian Democratic Forces, and we are now in a position of readiness in anticipation of any emergency, and at the same time we are committed to a ceasefire."

It is noteworthy that the meeting that took place between the Russian military police and commanders of the SDF led to a decision to cease fire between the Asayiş and the mercenaries of the so-called "national defense", starting from this evening until 10 am tomorrow, Saturday.
