The regions of the Euphrates region witnessed, in the first days of the total curfew, an almost complete commitment by the people.

The Autonomous Administration in the region had issued a decision on April 6, announcing the application of the curfew, starting today, Friday, for a period of 10 days.

The decision included "closing public facilities (wedding halls, places of worship, parks, restaurants, cafeterias, sports clubs, commercial and industrial stores, and clothing stores)", in addition to "suspending work in the Autonomous Administration institutions."

The total curfew decision excluded the establishments which nature require continuing work, which are "the Health Authority, the Local and Environment Administration Authority, the mills and bakeries, distributing bread points and the electricity emergency, the humanitarian and relief organizations and the Fuel Directorate with a rotating schedule of fuel stations."

The decision allowed farmers, dairy and cheese shops, and sellers of vegetables and fruits to move in and out of cities, provided that entry and exit is from 6 to 8 in the morning, and from 5 to 7 in the evening.

The implementation of the decision in the Euphrates region comes days after another curfew implementation in “Qamishlo, Hasakah and Raqqa,” and partially on the rest of the regions of north and east Syria, due to the increase in the number of Coronavirus infections.
