Since November 2020 five military bases were set up by the Turkish Occupation Forces at the outskirts of the Ain Issa town close to the villages of Khalidiye, Mi'alagh, Hoshan, Misherfe and Saida, all on the International Aleppo- Hasaka Highway known as the M4, leading to Kobane Canton, as residents of these villages were displaced by the unremitting shelling carried out by the Turkish Occupation Forces and the affiliated mercenary groups.

On Thursday, ANHA's monitored berming operations of six km adjacent to the M4 linking the village of Xirbet Ysusf al-Deeb up to the village of Tine in western Ain Issa, and Saida to Xafiye, 3 km distance in eastern town.

Turkish Occupation Forces attempt to encircle the town of in Issa by linking all these bases together and to disconnect northern areas from southern ones close to the M4 from both sides via digging trenches and berming operations.

All these bases that run 32 km into Syrian territory are being provided with heavy weapons after surveillance towers installed and radars and drones brought in all within five months of relentless attacks carried out by the Turkish Occupation Forces on Ain Issa and western Gire Spi/Tal Aybad Canton.

Military bases are used by the Turkish Occupation Forces and the affiliated mercenary groups as advanced points to launch attacks and undertake sneak attempts into the area as 11 civilians lost their lives and 20 others were injured in shelling from these bases.
