Journalists: Global forces, Gladio network stand behind isolation on Ocalan

In interviews with our agency, journalists expressed their categorical rejection of the isolation, and indicated that a phone call between the leader and his brother was not enough, given that the main request of the people is the leader's physical freedom.

An unparalleled isolation throughout history

Journalist Haval Arslan said, "This isolation is unparalleled in the world. It is known that isolation was applied against Nelson Mandela. Mandela was not subjected to such tight isolation. Why is isolation applied to leader Abdullah Ocalan since 22 years. To understand this, we must understand the international conspiracy. The plot was orchestrated by world powers and the Gladio network. The leader mentioned that a high-ranking official from the Committee against Torture received him when he was taken to Imrali. The role that Israel and the United States of America played during the plot and after the leader's capture is an indication of the great plot.

Arslan criticized the Committee against Torture's refusal to Imrali, "The Committee visited Turkey during the spread of the Corona virus. Despite the persistent popular demands, the committee only published a report. At the same time the European Union Commission decided to impose sanctions on Turkey, but the opposite is happening, as Turkey is being financially supported. The powers that stand behind this are the forces that manage isolation in Imrali. The dominant powers seek to obstruct the democratic nation's project, and by tightening isolation, they want to silence the leader."

Efforts to relieve public pressure

The journalist added, "On the 14^th of March, following news published on social media, a phone call with the leader took place. There is great popular discontent. This discontent was evident during the celebration of Newroz. Millions sent a message that (our leader is our red line). I believe that the Turkish state received the message, and to relieve pressure, it allowed a short cell phone call between the leader and his brother."

He continued, "The Turkish state seeks through this call to win over the leader's family to its side. This must be known. We can observe the extent of the difficult situation the country is going through, and the struggle must be escalated until the state reaches the point of collapse. If the leader obtains his freedom, fascism in Turkey will collapse. The leader's freedom means the collapse of all fascist regimes in the Middle East. The freedom of the leader means the freedom of all peoples and the freedom of women."

Dominant forces are behind the isolation

In turn, journalist Zior Sheikho said, "The Turkish state and the dominant powers are tightening the isolation on the leader." The journalist believes that "the conflicts and the spread of national extremism and fascist regimes have reached their climax at the current stage. The one-party system is what imposes isolation on the leader."

Sheikho added, "The strict isolation on the leader targets peoples. Isolation aims to hinder the spread of free thought."

Sheikho pointed to the continuation of isolation even though the leader reached the age of 73, "The dominant powers are afraid of the leader's thinking and philosophy. The leader is a political prisoner and has the right to communicate and meet with his family and his lawyers. In the meetings, Middle East and world issues are discussed. The leader talks about the struggle for freedom and democracy. The leader analyzes the causes of the crisis in the Middle East and proposes solutions."

Regarding the effectiveness of the hunger strike, Sheikho said, "Detainees can only sacrifice their bodies. We must also struggle on the media, political and diplomatic levels to break isolation. Ending isolation will contribute to achieving peace and brotherhood. Freedom of the Kurds and all peoples is linked to the struggle to break isolation."

The leader is a red line for people

Journalist Shaneh Fayek pointed out that the international community is indifferent to the Kurdish people's demands for the freedom of the leader, "The Kurdish people and their friends are struggling to break the isolation. The world neglects the activities of the Kurdish people. The rights of political detainees must be guaranteed. Absolutely, the strict isolation on the leader must not be accepted."

From the journalist's point of view, the Turkish state seeks to "tap the Kurdish people and know their position on the leader's health and security. Every now and then allegations appear about the leader's health status, but the Kurdish people have always shown that the leader represents the red line for them."

The journalist called for an escalation of the struggle to lift the isolation, "In recent years we have seen hunger strikes. These events paved the way for holding meetings with the leader. Now more effective events must be organized in order to achieve the leader's physical freedom."

The journalist Shaneh Fayek criticized the neglect of the international media about the activities of the hunger strike in Turkish prisons and in the Martyr Restum Judy camp in Makhmour area in southern Kurdistan.

She called for more effective media coverage that pushes people to exert more pressure on the Turkish state to lift the isolation on the leader.
