Campaign of arrests continues against people in occupied Afrin

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries launched a large-scale arrest campaign last March and April on many villages and districts of the occupied Afrin canton, following which a number of citizens were arrested, the fate of most of them remains unknown, and others were released in exchange for a ransom.

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries kidnapped four residents from the village of Dar Kira in Mobata district of Afrin, on the 27th of March. They are all of the citizen Rustum Ali (35), Amir Jamal (25), Khalil Amir (27) and Behzad Othman 50 years old, and they were transferred to Maarata prison in Afrin city, their fate is still unknown.To Maarata Prison in Afrin..

In addition, five other citizens were arrested during March and April from the two villages of Baadina in Rajo and Kokaneh in Mobata in occupied Afrin, on charges of dealing with the Autonomous Administration.

They are Abdeen Sheikmos Musa, 52, Rifai Ali Horo, 41, and Khalil Muhammad Sido, 60, from Baadina, and the Ibrahim Taj al-Din Ismail, 21, from the village of Kokane in Mobata district, who was transferred to Turkey.

And within the series of kidnappings against civilians, Abdo Maamou, 42, was kidnapped about four months ago by the mercenaries of Ahrar al-Sharqiya, that handed him over to the so-called Military Police, and the latter released him in mid-March, in exchange for a ransom of 2,500 dollars. Mamo, the owner of a food store, is located on the post office street in the city center of Afrin.
