On Ocalan birthday TEV-DEM calls for action

On the Birthday of leader Ocalan TEV-DEM expressed congratulations to the whole Kurdistani people and the world at large, calling on human and social associations and human rights and civil society associations to take action to set Ocalan as well as all political detainees free.

On the leader Abdullah Ocalan's birthday, April 4^th, Movement for a Democratic Society, the TEV-DEM, issued a statement reads:

''on April 4^th, birthday of leader Abdullah Ocalan, we express congratulations to the Kurdistani people and the world at large, on this great day that made history, today, on 72th birthday of leader we have big responsibilities towards decisive issues and serving communities alike. In grave conditions since 22 years on the Imrali Island in a tight isolation imposed by the fascist Turkish state contradictory to laws deprived access to lawyers or family. That made the Imrali Island a bastion for resistance, fighting and innovation proving that he is key to finding solution to all pending issues in the region emanating from crisis and disputes.

April 4^th made history for all Middle Eastern peoples in this century in modern times heralding a new philosophy to lay ground for a free man, to build a democratic, equal and free society based on equality and social justice, to get rid of all obsolete and out-dated habits of the authoritarian mentality putting into action the North Eastern Syria revolution as corollary to leader's ideas.

April is one of the most holiest months, as nature embellishes to which leader is second to none, he has great love to nature, humans, environment and afforestation.

In line with the freedom phase let us increase fight for the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, based on this, we ought to bear our moral responsibilities and converge together for the fate of leader Ocalan that embodies today the will and hope of all freedom and peace seeking peoples.

We call on all political and social movements and human rights associations as well as those of the civil society and political parts to take action for the release of leader Abdullah Ocalan from prison, and all other political detainees, for in this dangerous phase and widening the struggle by the Turkish intelligence networks in corroboration with mercenaries Turkey is the most beneficiary''.
