April 4th marks the birthday of leader Abdullah Ocalan's 73rd birthday, and our agency monitored the opinions of some personalities from ed-Dirbasiyah district who met the leader in the 1990s.

Citizen Razia Ibrahim, met with the leader Abdullah Ocalan in 1990 on the August 15th Leap, saying, "After I got acquainted with the thought of leader Ocalan, I was very eager to meet him because I was very impressed with his thought and philosophy."

Indescribable feeling

Razia added, "After we arrived in Lebanon, they told us that the leader would not be able to come and celebrate with us, but after hours passed and at 12:00 midnight we saw the leader coming to the place where we are. I was very pleased and it was an indescribable feeling that I would meet a philosopher and leader like him for the first time."

Razia Ibrahim added, "I went and sat in the first seat so that I could see him well. The leader started his conversation with reassurance about us and the areas from which we came, and he continued his conversation with us until three at the dawn."

The events of 2004 proved the leader’s statements about the youth

Razia Ibrahim explained that the leader spoke about the future of the region and the situation of the Kurdish people, and said, "He focused a lot on the revolution and the role of women and youth in it, especially the role of youth in the revolution, and that was applied this in the events in Qamishlo city in 2004, the Kurdish youth united and fought against the regime and the mentality of the Baath Party."

Rojava Revolution prevailed with his ideas

Razia indicated that the leader's talk about the importance of women's role is also achieved in the Rojava Revolution, "because the basis for building and the success of this revolution is women who struggled and fought for their freedom, and have become an example to be emulated among all women of the world."

She added, "The leader focused on the peoples' brotherhood and the implementation of the democratic nation system, and we saw what the leader said has been achieved today in north and east Syria."

Resurrection

She concluded, "If it had not been for the thought of the leader Ocalan, the culture and history of the Kurdish people would have eradicated, because the leader devoted his life to the Kurdish cause, so we consider his birthday as the birth and rebirth of the Kurdish people."

His thought became salvation for all oppressed peoples

For his part, the citizen Abdullah Sheikhki congratulated the birth of the leader Abdullah Ocalan to all the Kurdish people, and the peoples of north and east Syria who take his thought as their salvation.

Sheikhki says, "I saw the leader many times in the nineties. Leader Ocalan is a free-minded person, and what distinguishes him is his modesty. He used to deal with us with great humility, and this confirms his loyalty to his people and his cause."

At the end of his speech, Sheikhki asserted that the peoples of the region and all oppressed peoples in the Middle East advocate the thought of the leader Abdullah Ocalan "because his thought has become salvation for all oppressed peoples."
