Since the SDF eliminated ISIS in its last strongholds in al-Baghouz in Deir-ez-Zor on March 23, 2019, the mercenaries have sought to reorganize themselves in trying to revive again, but Internal Security Forces and SDF are still continuing to pursue ISIS/Daesh sleeper cells

Due to inaction, some forces contributed effectively to revive ISIS/ Daesh again, where ISIS/ Daesh takes from the occupied areas by Turkey in NE, Syria and some Başûr Governorates (Southern Kurdistan) as HQ for launching its attacks.

Because of many SDF operations against ISIS/ Daesh dismantled dozens of mercenary cells arrested their leaders, including the Abu Nimer al-Juhaishi cell, which was dismantled on March 11, 2020, which is specialized in trafficking ISIS families from al-Hol camp towards Iraqi lands.

The confessions of a member of the "Abu Nimer al-Juhaishi" cell, whose direct official resides in Başûr and Mosul, which are under the control of the Iraqi government.

The cell "Abu Nimer al-Juhaishi" is one of ISIS mercenaries' cells that worked to smuggle families of ISIS mercenaries from al-Hol camp to Iraqi lands, and which were active in the eastern countryside of al-Hol district near the Syrian-Iraqi border, which was directed from Mosul and the capital of Başûr Hewler.

Abu Nawwaf al-Juhaishi cell consists of 6 mercenaries, including Iraqis and Syrians, involved the cell’s official and intermediaries, smugglers from inside the camp, and smugglers between the Syrian and Iraqi territories and on the Iraqi borders, headed by Hussein al-Abdo, nicknamed Abu Nimr al-Juhaishi, who is established the cell.

According to the mercenary Atallah Muhammad Khalifa, who held the task of the mediator, the members of the cell are “the chief of the cell, Hussein al-Abdo, and the officials of smuggling families from Syrian lands to Iraqi lands, Faisal Eid al-Sudan, nicknamed Abu Mashaal al-Shammari, and Daham Awad al-Ali and his brother Abu Saleh and the smuggler Abu Khaled al-Sharabi. ".

The Iraqi mercenary, the mediator in the smuggling operations, Atallah Khalifa, descended from a father called Mohammad and a mother named Hadiya Hussein, who was 22 years old, and was arrested during the security operation of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the International Coalition on the background of the dismantling of the Abu Nimer al-Juhaishi cell.

Regarding the fate of the rest of the cell members, he said, "All the cell members were arrested, except for Hussein al-Abdo, and the smuggler Daham Awad al-Ali." The mercenary returns the reason for not arresting them to their presence in Hewler and Mosul.

The cell smuggled more than 100 people from the families of ISIS mercenaries, most of whom were Iraqi children and women, according to what the mercenary Atallah Mohammad Khalifa, who is assigned to play the role of mediator between the cell’s official and the rest of the cell’s members within and outside the camp.

Al-Hol camp, 45 km east of the city of al-Hasakah, constitutes a great burden on the shoulders of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria, because it is the most dangerous in the world, due to its detention of thousands of ISIS/Daesh families who adopt extremist ideas of ISIS.

According to the latest statistics of al-Hol camp administration, there are now 5,2051 people within the camp, distributed among 17,110 families, as follows:

Number of Iraqis: 30,706 people, distributed among 8,284 families.

Syrians: 22,380 people distributed among 6201 families.

ISIS foreign families: 8,965 children and women distributed over 2,625 families.

And the arrival of ISIS women and children in February 2019 to al-Hol camp, and since that time the security breaches in the camp have not stopped, despite the tight security grip imposed by the Internal Security Forces and the SDF, to reduce them.

This danger is evident in the killings, flogging, brainwashing, and escape attempts committed in the camp, which increased after the start of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in the "National Army" on NE,Syria on October 9, 2019, and with all of Turkey's threats to the region.

Despite the danger of this camp, none of the countries have yet moved to evacuate their citizens, who joined the ranks of ISIS, amid constant calls from the United Nations for the necessity to evacuate their citizens, the last of which was when the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Office for Combating Terrorism, Vladimir Ivanovich Voronkov, urged the states to evacuate the children from those camps.

In the context of the operations led by the Syrian Democratic Forces against the cells that intend to smuggle ISIS families from al-Hol camp, and cells that facilitate the passage and movement of mercenaries to and from the Syrian and Iraqi lands, the SDF announced, last Tuesday, that it had arrested two leaders of cells operating in this context.

On February 7, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested a smuggler for the families of ISIS/Daesh mercenaries from al-Hol camp, during an operation carried out in the countryside of al-Hasakah city.
