AL-HASAKAH - BASEL RASHID

Since years, the Turkish authorities have been imposing strict isolation on the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and observers believe that this isolation is devoid of humanity, as his relatives and lawyers are prevented from meeting him and he is deprived of his humanitarian right.

Through isolation, the Turkish authorities aim to sever the link between the people and the leader, Abdullah Ocalan.

During the past two days, information was published on Turkish media outlets indicating the deterioration of the health status  the leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali prison, and soon the peoples of the cities and areas of north and east Syria revolted, expressing their discontent, and calling on international organizations, especially CPT to quickly intervene to reveal his health condition.

Leyla Bonjak, the Member of the Intellectuals Union - Al-Hasakah Branch, said to our agency, "What was published by the Turkish media outlets about the deterioration of the health status of leader Abdullah Ocalan, before the arrival of Newroz, is to make it a black day for all the peoples of the region, as it is a blessed and sacred day for all peoples."

She added, "They also seek to undermine the democratic project and the brotherhood of the peoples in north and east Syria and the Middle East."

Leyla called on international and humanitarian organizations and the United Nations, especially CPT, to quickly intervene to reveal the leader's health status as soon as possible.

At the end of her speech, Leyla pledged that they, like the women of Rojava and in all parts of Kurdistan, will rise up and go out to the squares and battlefields until they are reassured of the health of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

For her part, the Member of the Democratic Union Party in Washokani camp, "Surya Mohamed", sent a message to the Turkish authorities and said: "Let the Turkish occupation know that millions of peoples and components of the region stand behind leader Abdullah Ocalan, and follow his approach and philosophy."

She demanded the United Nations to do its part in the face of the isolation practiced by the Turkish authorities on the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

While the Administrator of the Activities Committee in the Public Schools Department of Al-Hasakah canton, Nesreen Majdal, noted that the occupation is working to distort society’s opinion in north and east Syria, and thwarting Newroz . she said: "The Turkish occupation is trying, as much as possible, to impede these celebrations by spreading news of the leader's deteriorating health status, to create instability among the peoples of the region."

At the end of her speech, Nasreen stressed that these practices will not break the will and determination of the peoples of north and east Syria.
