SOHR: death toll of US strike on Iranian groups rose to 22

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that the pro-Iranian groups’ death toll has increased to 22 as a result of the US bombing of their sites "west of the Euphrates" in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

The death toll of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces and the Iraqi Hezbollah rose to 22, the majority of them from the latter, who were all killed in an American air strike on sites and a shipment of weapons the moment they entered the Syrian territories coming from Iraq through a military crossing near the main Qaim crossing in the Albu Kamal area east of Deir Ezzor, according to the observatory.

The number of deaths is likely to rise due to the wounded, some of them in serious conditions, in addition to information on the dead, according to the observatory.

According to the observatory, the bombing, which took place at one o'clock after midnight, Damascus local time, completely destroyed 3 trucks of ammunition.

According to the sources of the Syrian Observatory, immediately after the strike, the Iranian forces and groups loyal to them evacuated several sites and headquarters in Albu Kamal and relocated to other sites and points for fear of successive attacks.
