HDP parliamentarian: We continue to resist attacks

The parliamentarian Çepni spoke to ANHA agency about the Turkish occupation attacks against Gara regions and legitimate defense areas (Medya) in Southern Kurdistan, as well as the Turkish state's pressure against the HDP.

Çepni noted that the power alliance in Turkey has worked recently to keep power by working to silence the HDP. He pointed out that this matter is not directed at the HDP only, but at the same time, it means striving to end the Kurdish people's freedom struggle in general.

He also noted that the current policies of the AKP are completely different from its earlier ones, and said: “The policy of the 'Republican Alliance' (AKP-MHP) is centered around 'Do you know what a single bullet cost?' 'Turkey suffers from a multifaceted crisis, and anti-people policy. "

"The AKP is suffering from an administrative crisis and strives to eliminate the HDP, it aims to organize the working class, end strikes and plunder of nature, target the struggle of women and the activities of Bogazici University. However, the HDP represents a broader democracy," he added. It is considered a great threat to the coalition of power.

In order not to fall into a state of absolute silence, everyone must resist. The HDP strives to put an end to all these schemes and ploys. On the other hand, and because the HDP continues to resist, it encourages the other democratic forces.

They seek therefor to criminalize or permanently liquidate it, and this matter is not related to the Peoples' Democratic Party only.

"Despite the attacks, the HDP maintains its power"

Regarding the ongoing security campaigns against the HDP, he said: “These campaigns have several reasons. They say why did you join the HDP, take part in the elections, why were you responsible for the ballot boxes? The HDP, but the party's votes have not decreased; all the questionnaires indicate that they will not. They cannot terrorize people these campaigns and attacks against the HDP.

He added: “Today, the working class seeks to organize a march towards Ankara, and the people of villages in the Black Sea regions are rising, and the same institutions that attack the Kurdish people are also attacking them.

The same goes on the Aegean region, where they are under attacks by the police and gendarmerie forces, so the authorities can no longer do everything as they wish.

This crisis goes deeper, so non-stop attacks on HDP do not help to increase their voices. They do not bear fruit to any results in their favor. "

The HDP is the only obstacle.

The HDP parliamentarian said that an empire for criminals has been established in Turkey, where no one will survive these crimes. They cannot eliminate us; what we face today is that they consider the HDP the only obstacle. If they manage to silence them, they will be able to prolong their life as well.

They are afraid of organized people, and that is why they are attacking our party organization. "

He also noted that the AKP no longer has policy other than that of anti-HDP, and added: “In Parliament, we tell them that the conditions of the villagers are difficult. For example, the conditions of craftsmen and shopkeepers are difficult due to the Corona pandemic. We also highlight the attacks against women constantly, but they try to intimidate us.

 And every time they are exposed to critical crises, they release racist slogans and speeches with the aim of strengthening their power. Otherwise, they are politically bankrupt. "

'They launched an operation to win, but they failed.'

"Before the attacks on Gara, we said over and over that this issue would not be resolved by violence and military campaigns, and we said that it is mistake."

They say that they will solve the issue through violence, and we say, no, you cannot; you should sit down with their representatives and recognize the rights of the people.

 On this issue, the ruling coalition works in an arbitrary manner, and whatever they do, they are not succeeding.

They brought the mother of one of the soldiers who was killed in Gara to their party conference in order to exploit her for propaganda; this annoyed the party's supporters. They started this campaign for achieving a great victory, but failed. "

He also added: "If they had won in Gara, they would have started targeting the opposition as well, but when the opposite happened, big problems arose."

They are trying to overcome this crisis by escalating the attack against the HDP, and now they are trying to cover up their failure by criminalizing and closing it.

We are talking about a march that extends for 6 years, and if they really wanted to return the soldiers, policemen and intelligence personnel alive, then why did they continue to bomb the area for four days in row? Should they answer this question?

"Everyone should be bold on Gara case."

Regarding Gara resistance, he stated that the rest of the parties must show boldness and courage on the issue and said in this regard: “We in the HDP raise the issue, it is very clear that the rest of the parties also do the same, because the people ask too.

And we said earlier that all these problems occurred because of the failure to find a radical solution to the Kurdish issue, and if they did not abandon this policy, this policy will continue unfortunately, and if they are really serious to solve this issue, then the responsibilities fall on everyone's shoulders. ".

The AKP relies mainly on a policy of exploitation '

He noted that the AKP insists on continuing its policies based on exploitation. He also added that the AKP had made alot of promises regarding the Kurdish issue, but later, its goal was different.  

"In no time, it became clear, that he has calibrated goals, and this topic is historical. We know that this issue did not start with the AKP. We are talking about the fate of 15 to 20 million Kurdish people," he added.

After 100 years, you cannot overlook these demands. This is not possible. Therefore, we are an inevitable reality. "

He also referred to the existence of distant and limited resistances in Turkey for a long time, and said in this regard: “The joint resistance continues. The Kurdish people, of course, live in a constant state of resistance, and the working class has also stepped up the resistance, especially during the period of the pandemic.” The common characteristics of all these resistances, realizes that her destination is Ankara.

Accordingly, the urgent question is 'What do we do?'. If they attack our organization, then we must organize ourselves, this is what the joint struggle imposes on it. ”

'The stage requires strengthening organization'

On the resistance of the University students, he said: “ it became clear that the attacks of the guardians do not target the HDP only. "

He also confirmed their party’s endeavor to strengthen its organization, and said in this regard: “I can say that we are very optimistic, as the movement is developing, and it has what qualifies it to strengthen its mental revolution. "

In the conclusion of his speech, parliamentarian for the HDP in Izmir Murad Jebni said: “We in the HDP, and all revolutionary and democratic forces are well aware that we are facing a difficult phase, but we are very close to the victory.

We see this very clearly. We are optimistic, and we are resolutely seeking to spread this optimism. There is no doubt that we will make sacrifices, and all of our people must support this struggle in some way, as we are very close to achieving victory.

  Perhaps we will face a tightened siege, but they will attack us because they are weak and desperate, and we will achieve victory wherever we are. "
