The activities of the “Intra -Kurdish Conflicts, Facts and Solutions” forum will continue in the second session of the forum’s sessions, after the end of the first session, with the reading of a study prepared by the Rojava Center for Strategic Studies NRLS, which was held since this morning in the city of Qamishlo.

The second session of the forum included two lectures by a member of the PYD Presidency, Fawza Yusuf, and another by the Kurdish political researcher Azad Ali, who focused on comprehensive presentation of the current reality in all its political and social aspects.

The two lectures focused on the conditions experienced by the Kurdish movement, and the dangers that threaten the Kurdish presence, regarding the hostile policies and practices of demographic change that the Kurds have been exposed to since the beginning of the Syrian crisis.

The lecturers pointed out the attacks that the Kurds have been subjected to during the past 200 years, which led to their division, which began with the Shirin Palace agreements, and that the Kurds are the ones who have suffered the most from those agreements and partition processes, and are still suffering from them to the present day in the four parts of Kurdistan.

The lecturers pointed out the need to focus on how to approach the Kurdish issue, how to shed light on it, reduce the massacres against the Kurds, and the policies aimed at ending their presence in the twenty-first century.

The lecturers noted that during the twentieth century, there were two main axes that negatively affected the Kurds, the first of which was the policy of the Kurds among themselves, and with other parties, and the discrimination they witnessed, which in turn affected the failure to reach recognition of the Kurds and the solution of their cause.

According to the two lectures, the policies of the ruling countries ’authorities and their agreement on a policy of divide and conquer the practice against peoples, including the Kurds, was the reason for the lack of solutions to the Kurdish issue, and that those parties relied on their policy on the enemies of the Kurds and allied with other forces against the Kurds.

The lecturers indicated that during the current stage, the Kurds have witnessed serious changes, after achieving unity with the tribes in the region, and reaching the stage of need for change.

The lecturers emphasized that, at this stage, after the sacrifices they made, the Kurds have become a force that cannot be ignored and have become a force capable of leadership and cannot be underestimated.

They explained that the Kurds were able to preserve their existence and their cause despite all the massacres and extermination attempts that were practiced against them, and they turned into a light point for the rest of the people, and that they are at the current stage with the ability to change policies in the Middle East and the world.

The forum continues in its work, and the third session of the forum’s activities is scheduled to be held, in which the participants will address proposals on strategic solutions and future perceptions of the fate of the Kurdish issue, which has become an important topic on the international arena during the last ten years, and reach common points on the national Kurdish side.
