HPG carry out operation against brigade of Turkish occupation army

The Media Center of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG) issued a written statement to the public opinion, regarding the operation carried out by the Guerrilla forces against a brigade of the Turkish occupation army in the area of Jaleh, as well as the bombing of the defensive areas of Medya.

The center said in its statement: “At 15:00 on February 17th, our forces carried out an operation against a brigade of the Turkish army in Jaleh region of Colemerg state.

During the operation, our forces targeted the occupation forces in the brigade with mortar shells, killing and wounding a number of soldiers, the exact number of which was unknown.

The statement pointed out that the defensive areas of Medya were attacked by Turkish warplanes, and according to the statement, the attacks were as follows:

“At 10:15 pm on February 16th, the conference valley in the Avashin area was bombed.

At 14.20-15.40 on February 16, the Amadiyah countryside in Dohuk was bombed.

At 14:30 on February 18, Colemerg hill in the Matina area was bombed by Turkish planes.

At 15:30 on February 18, Conference valley in Avashin region was bombed.

In its conclusion, the statement pointed out that the Turkish air strikes did not cause any casualties among the ranks of the People’s Defense Forces.
