Politicians: Turkish attacks follow agreement with Russia

Afrin members of the Syria's Democratic Party stress that attacks carried out against Shahba by the Turkish Occupation Forces are in light of economic and political bargains with Russia, calling for a fact-Finding committee for the occupied areas by Turkey.

North Eastern Syria generally and Shahba specifically continue to be open by Turkish Occupation Forces and the affiliated mercenary groups in which civilians are targeted primarily amid international silence.

In this relation, party's member in Tal Rif'at, in the Shahba Canton, Yaser Ahmed told ANHA '' the Turkish attacks on Kurds are green lighted by Russia with the aim to revert to the pre-2011 status, control by the Syrian Government over all components.

''Russia well knows that a new democracy is being disseminated in the region, for this it tries to repress all Syrian people and to obstruct, via bargaining with Turkey, the democracy that develops peoples'', Yaser added.

''all these agreements corroborate political and economic treaties between Russia and Turkey, that makes Russia to pave the way for Turkish Occupation Forces to invade Syrian territories that have become a battleground for trade and economic deals, and that such a policy by Russia is a capitalist one, that runs in contradiction to all communist ideology by which the country was well known'', Yaser concluded.

From his part, Ismat Xaleel, party's member, lashed out at the international community for not fulfilling it's duty towards the Kurdish people in particular, '' why the international community is not fulfilling it's duties towards Kurds that sacrificed thousands of martyrs, and humanity at large'', he said.

''since Afrin was occupied attacks on the region continue on daily bases by the Turkish Occupation Forces and the affiliated mercenary groups that perpetrated many massacres of which the one that took the lives of 8 children and elderly persons in 2019', Ismat said.

'' the enemy tries always to defame the Kurdish people on the international arenas to refrain from bearing responsibility towards Kurds, and though the whole world has been well acquitted with the policies Turkey adopt rather it is interests that control relations''.

''the Kurdish intellectuals and politicians spared not efforts to convey the voice of the Kurdish people to the international community that do not fulfill it's humanitarian duty'', Ismat added.
