In accordance with the agreements signed between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the international parties, the Syrian Democratic Forces have handed over 6 minors to the Child Protection Office in Armed Conflicts.

The children were handed over to their families in the presence of the co-chair of the Child Protection Office, Khaled Jabber, at the Child Protection in Armed Conflict Office in al-Hasakah Canton Council.

In this context, Khaled Jabber told Hawar news agency ANHA: "Six minors were handed over to their families, according to the agreements signed between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the United Nations not to include children in armed conflicts."

"There are several motives for children joining the military forces, including the conditions of war in which they live and that affect them," Jabber added.

Jabber indicated that the meeting with the Syrian Democratic Forces is held - on a daily basis - for the sake of the minor children who join the forces.

Khaled Jaber concluded his speech by saying: “The Syrian Democratic Forces, in cooperation with the Child Protection Office, have shown great response in this regard, and many minors have been returned to their families after submitting evidence and proof, contrary to what some media are promoting.”

It is worth noting that 38 minors have been handed over to their families since the opening of the Child Protection Office in Armed Conflict in al-Hasakeh canton.
