The first symposium was held in the school of Karbawi town, during which the member of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) Abed Ibrahim spoke, while the member of the Democratic Union Party, Masoud Dawood, gave a speech at the seminar held at the school of Himo town.

Abed Ibrahim said, "In 1993, the leader Abdullah Ocalan announced the peace process by declaring a ceasefire by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), in an attempt to bring peace to Kurdistan and the Middle East."

Ibrahim indicated that at that time, the agreement was suspended due to the assassination of Turkish President "Turgut Ozal" by Turkish intelligence, who was at that time negotiating with Ocalan to bring peace and solve the Kurdish issue.”

Ibrahim added, "But the matter did not stop at this point; rather, the leader Abdullah Ocalan was exposed to an international conspiracy in the 1990s, which led to his kidnapping and extradition to the Turkish fascist authorities.”

As for Masoud Dawood, he said during his speech: "With the aim of preventing the leader Ocalan from establishing peace and resolving the Kurdish issue, those parties involved in the conspiracy hatched that plot against him and they are imposing a tight isolation on him inside his prison.”

Dawood added: “The resistance and victories that were achieved in Rojava are a product of the thought and philosophy of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and therefore we have to be fit for that free thought and raise the pace of our struggle until the leader's freedom and all his aspirations are achieved.”

The two symposiums were concluded with showing a short film about the international conspiracy that affected the leader Ocalan on February 15, 1999.
