Gire Spi /Tal Abyad Military Council : Barbaric Turkish onslaught repelled

It was noted by the Gire Spi /Tal Abyad Military Council that since two months, their military forces have been repelling an unprecedented Turkish barbaric onslaught ''amid dangers posed by such a Turkish shelling to lives of people in the town and tens of other villages''.

Shelling on the Ain Issa district and the strategically important Aleppo- Hasaka International Highway known as the M4, by the Turkish Occupation Forces and the affiliated mercenary groups are proceeding for more than 70 days targeting civilian areas.

The shelling that targeted at least 170 sites, cost the lives of six civilians and the injury of 16 others.

Riyad al-Khalaf, commander of the Gire Spi /Tal Abyad Military Council, stated in a press conference that ''Turkish bids to control villages commanding the M4 are still alive that go in line with daily shelling on the town and it's outskirts, the last of which was carried out on Tuesday'', and that'' in addition to material damages, Turkish shells pose dangers to the peoples' lives as some lost their lives, as fears on the unexploded bombs grow, in the town and on the M4 alike, that is difficult for our forces to deactivate them in a time shelling is relentless''.

It was indicted by Khalaf that people of the town are dissatisfied with the nominal Russian Forces presence and the Syrian Government Forces that did not lift a finger''.

On November 23^rd, 2020, Turkish Occupation Forces and the affiliated mercenary groups commenced a military aggression to encircle Ain Issa as Russian Forces withdrew from one of it's bases to the south of the town.

Up to date, mercenary groups are unable to reach the M4 neither from the eastern side nor from the western one of the town, as SDF declared that three ground offensives were foiled, in which 65 mercenaries were killed of which and 53 others injured.
