Rojava and Shengal ''World Resistance Epitomes''

A statement was released today by 40 organizations and associations active in Shengal and North Eastern Syria in which they called on the international community to take serious actions to deter repeated Turkish threats.

The statement reads as follows:

Rojava and Sinjar are the world resistance, lets defend it together

"As it known that the ongoing war caused a lot of suffer to the whole of middle east and especially to North and East Syria that has gone through many disastrous wars.  

As a result of that a lot of civilians lost their lives and thousands have been displaced from the occupied region (Afrin, Serekanye, Gire spi). Kidnapping, rapes and murders continue every day by the aim of demographic engineering, culture and history annihilation and destroying the ancient holy places in the region. Our Yazidi people in Sinjar also subjected to the genocide of the twenty-one century, thousands of women have been slave trade and the fate of hundreds of women are still unknown, and the region where the Assyrian Syriacs have been targeted, dozens of villages are still empty.      

The people of the region fought and made sacrifices in order to protect themselves and the world too, defensing on the values of freedom and democracy, equality and justice led by women and the youth, the autonomous administration project have been built through the unification of its people from different cultures, religious, beliefs to be an example for all revolutionary and free peoples.    

Today, the Turkish threat against Sinjar and north and east Syria region are increased again, therefore we renew our pledge to continue our struggle against occupiers and fascism until the end, to protect the values led by women and the youth 

We call on all the societal centers and the powers that believes on freedom and democracy and all the peoples in the world to stand with the people’s resistance and there free will in Sinjar and north and east Syria to avoid “the risk of genocide against the peoples of the region, and that the centers and organization of civil society stand with us by putting pressure on concerned authorities to take serious steps that will stop the repeated Turkish threats” and may the peace prevail throughout the world."
