3rd Turkish Occupation Base near Ain Issa

Preparations are underway by the Turkish Occupation Forces to create a new military base to the north of the International Aleppo-Hasaka Highway known as the 4M, as shelling on Ain Issa continue as well as attempts to occupy more village in the area.

On Friday, berms were created by the Turkish Occupation Forces  in one of the military posts held by mercenary groups close to the village of Misherfe, in a bid to be turned into a new military base. 

The new base is just 1km distance to the north of the Strategically important Aleppo –Hasaka International Highway known as the M4, and the same distance to the village of Misherfe, and 3km to the center of town of Ain Issa, from the east, and just 1 km to the Joint Observation Post held by the Syrian Government Forces and Russian Forces, located to the south of M4. 

This comes after a Turkish onslaught on Ain Issa for the ninth consecutive week.

On January 5th, 2021 a military base was created by the Turkish Occupation Forces to the north of the village of Mi'alagh, provided with radars  and military vehicles and equipment, all surrounded with berms, just 500 m distance to the M4.  

On November 23rd, 2020, Turkish Occupation Forces commenced setting up a military base at the village of Saida, just 2km to the north of the town of Ain Issa, forming a chain of military bases around the town.

Worth to note that, 6 civilians lost their lives and 16 others were injured in artillery and rocket shelling coming from such bases on the separate areas in the region.
