13 mercenaries killed in Russian aerial bombardment

At least 13 mercenaries of the ISIS groups were killed in bombardment carried out by Russian jets in line with clashes between Syrian Government Forces and ISIS mercenary groups in the Syrian Desert.

Clashes erupted between the Syrian Government Forces and the ISIS mercenary groups in the al-Mayadine Desert just after mid night amid artillery shelling carried out by the Syrian Government Forces on axes of areas undergoing clashes.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the SOHR, five deaths of elements of the armed groups affiliated to the Syrian Government Forces were documented in searching operations for ISIS cells in the region, as well as 13 mercenaries of the ISIS groups in aerial raids by Russian fighter jets.

Yesterday, Russian fighter jets carried out tens of raids against areas held by ISIS mercenary groups in the Hama-Aleppo-Raqqa triangle, as well as the Deir Ezzor Homs Road.

Intense Russian bombardment follows an ambush laid by ISIS mercenary groups for military buses of the Syrian Government Forces in the Shola Desert in rural Deir Ezzor, in which four elements were killed, of whom a first lieutenant and ten others injured.
