The Organization for Research and Women's Rights in Syria, the Human Rights Initiative, the Rojava Center for Strategic Studies, the Human Rights Organization Afrin - Syria, and the Human Rights Organization in Al-Jazeera are preparing to hold the Human Rights Forum, the second that deals with the situation in occupied Afrin.

The Human Eights Forum will be held in late January aims to shed light on the crimes and grave violations of international human rights law committed by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries in Afrin.

In this context, a member of the Preparatory Committee for the Human Rights Forum Mizgin Hassan said, "At the forum, the crimes and violations committed in the city of Afrin will be described legally."

Mizgin condemned the international silence regarding the crimes of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries against the city of Afrin, noting that these crimes will be shared through the forum with world public opinion.

She added, "The forum will come out with recommendations of support and assistance to end the Turkish occupation of Afrin," as well as ensuring the forcible return of the displaced to their homes.

Many international figures will participate in the forum through the Zoom application, in addition to personalities from Syria.

The first human rights forum on the situation in occupied Afrin was held on May 6, 2018, organized by several human rights organizations at the level of northern and eastern Syria, and with the participation of human rights defenders around the world. This forum helped to familiarize the international community to some extent about the crimes committed by Turkey in the areas it occupies in Syria.

Turkey and its mercenaries occupied the city of Afrin on March 18, 2018, after 58 days of aircraft bombing and artillery shelling where it committed numerous war crimes and crimes against humanity; besides, the subsequent processes of demographic change, forced displacement, kidnapping, looting theft of private property, crimes against women in particular and following the Turkification policy in the region.
