Russian jets bombard ISIS in Syrian Desert

At least 95 raids were carried out by the Russian fighter jets on the Syrian Desert against areas held by ISIS mercenary groups in the last 24 hours after 14 elements of the Syrian Government Forces were injured and killed in an ambush.

Intense raids were carried out by the Russian fighter jets on areas controlled by ISIS mercenary groups in the Hama-Aleppo- Raqqa triangle, on the Homs –Deir Ezzor Road, as hovering in the region never relented.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the SOHR, Russian fighter jets carried out in the last 24 hours at least 95 aerial raids.

This comes after military buses were ambushed in the Shola Desert in rural Deir Ezzor by ISIS mercenary groups that led to deaths of four elements of the Syrian Government Forces of whom a first lieutenant and the injury of 10 others. 

Russian led operation has been into effect a week ago with the aim to secure the Homs-Deir Ezzor Road, after a surge in activities by ISIS mercenary groups lately.
