The Syrian Democratic Council held a meeting for the people of Tel Hamis district in Qamishlo canton in the Cultural Center Hall of the district, and members of civil institutions in addition to dozens of the district's people attended the meeting.

The meeting began with a minute of silence, after which the Member of the Syrian Democratic Council's Organizational Office in Qamishlo district, Jawaher Othman, gave a speech in which she confirmed that the council "believes in the Syrian-Syrian solution."

Jawaher continued: "Confirming our belief in the Syrian-Syrian solution, and in several attempts, we called for dialogue regarding the solution in Syria, but unfortunately, the Syrian government did not give up its intransigence."

Jawaher noted that "the Syrian government is lost between the Russian father and the Iranian mother, which has led to the emergence of many defections among its ranks, the sale of the most important strategic sites in Syria, in addition to holding other deals to sell the rest of the other regions to different parties."

She added: "We are striving for a solution that guarantees the rights of all peoples in the region and co-existence in the Syrian territories without exception or marginalization of any component, especially north and east Syria which was liberated thanks to the Syrian Democratic Forces."

In turn, the Member of the Syrian Democratic Council's Relations Office, Leyla Sewar, warned of the plans and projects being hatched against the peoples of the region that target the region's security and the democratic project, especially "countries that are called guarantors."

Leyla Sewar referred to the outcomes of the National Conference for al-Jazira and the Euphrates people, explaining that "it was based on the opinions and proposals of the Syrian people."

The Member of the Syrian Democratic Council's Relations Office said: "The council will work during this year to implement the outcomes of the National Conference through follow-up committees, and two seminars will be held in Aleppo and al-Shahba. It also aims to open offices in all Syrian regions to convey the idea of the Autonomous Administration to all Syrians."

It is worth mentioning that the Syrian Democratic Council held on November 25, 2020 the National Conference for the people of al-Jazira and the Euphrates in which more than 300 independent party and political figures, clans, intellectuals, and representatives of civil society institutions from al-Jazira and the Euphrates regions participated, in addition to the participation of a group of Syrian opposition political figures abroad via remote video technology, reached a set of recommendations and decisions, and formed a committee to follow up and implement those recommendations.
