Unknown persons assassinate one of the notables of al-Akidat clan, his on in Deir-ez-Zor countryside

According to ANHA's correspondent, unidentified persons stormed today, the host of Sheikh Taliyoush al-Afi al-Shatat, one of the notables of al-Akidat tribe in Deir-ez-Zor, and shot him, killing the sheikh and his son Mahmoud.

The reporter said: The targeting took place in the village of Hawaj Dhiban in the eastern countryside of Deir-ez-Zor, and stated that Mahmoud was working in the workshops of the Electricity Department in Deir-ez-Zor.

It is reported that unknown persons targeted, in August of last year, a car carrying the sheikh of the most prominent Arab tribes in Deir- ez-Zor, Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil Jadaan al-Hafil, the sheikh of al-Akidat clan, which led to the martyrdom of Sheikh al-Mutashhar Hammoud Jadaan al-Hafil, who was accompanying him with the same car and their driver Sheikh Ibrahim al-Hafil, while the attackers fled.

While the Autonomous Administration in Northern and Eastern Syria said about this and during a statement, "The terrorist act is targeting all components of NE, Syria, and a desperate and cowardly attempt to strike at the method of co-existence and brotherhood among all components in the AANES to create discord and destabilize security and stability."
