Women Committee administrator: Guven feminist ideal worldwide

Malak al-Rabah, an administrator in the Women Committee in the Deir Ezzor Civil Council, considered MP Laila Guven '' as a symbol for the emancipated woman and a model for all women all over the world'', stressing that she is a lighthouse that leads the way to all women in Deir Ezzor.

After arrest by the Turkish State of parliamentarian Laila Guven feminist condemning voices that demand Laila's release were heard all over the world.

In this relation, Malak al-Rabah, an administrator in the Women Committee in Civil Deir Ezzor Council, condemned the 22 years and 3 months sentence that was passed by the Turkish authorities on Laila Guven.

In an interview conducted by ANHA, Malak said :''as leader Abdullah Ocalan was denied admittance to relatives and lawyers by the Turkish authorities, MP Laila Guven revolted to that to expose that''.

Malak stressed that Laila was arrested for her ''standing up to wrongdoing'', adding that:'' after her arrest Turkish authorities assumed that Laila Guven would be silenced but she stood up to them as she went on hunger strike for 200 days''.

Malak, on behalf of all women of Deir Ezzor, denounced that sentence passed on Laila Guven, as she has become " a symbol for all free women and a model for all women worl;d wide as she went on hunger strike''.

Malak concluded that :'' women of Deir Ezzor view Laila as s lighthouse and a torch that gives light to the path of freedom, and a highly valued model for women in North Eastern Syria, as a striving one that never keeps silent regarding rights and as she advocates for the other's freedom without taking into account any dangers''.
