​​​​​​​Civilians are afraid to travel on M4 because they mistrust Russian forces

Despite the Russian guarantees to protect civilians heading from the Jazira region to the Euphrates region and in reverse, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continue to attack the region and the international road and the so-called M4, in addition to building-up, which caused fear and loss of confidence in the Russian forces' guarantees.

And after the road was closed for more than two weeks during the Turkish attacks on Ain Issa, it reopened on Saturday morning, November 2nd, but not as usual, as the number of cars from the Euphrates region to the Jazira region reached 44 cars, while 5 cars headed to the Euphrates Region.

A number of travelers had expressed their fear and distrust of the Russian forces.

Mamdouh Darwish, a Kobani resident, said that travelers had lost confidence in "the Russian forces' guarantees due to the Turkish escalation on the region amid the Russian silence."

Darwish added, "We are afraid to travel on the road because of the recent militarization operations on the road and the silence of Russian forces towards it, in addition to the Ain Issa latest escalation by the Turkish ongoing violations."

For his part, citizen Hussein Al-Nuaimi, who was heading to Ain Issa, confirmed the decrease in the number of journey between the Euphrates region and the Jazira region.

In his speech, Al-Nuaimi called on "the international bodies and guarantor forces to deport the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries from the outskirts of the road."

Al-Nuaimi confirmed at the end, "Although the Russian forces accompanied us on the M4, we suffer greatly as a result of Turkish violations. Therefore, we call on the Russian forces to put an end to the occupation and its mercenaries."
