Turkey has been continuing its attacks on Ain Issa district since weeks, but it has not made any progress against the resistance of the Syrian Democratic Forces. The Deputy Co-Presidency of the Executive Council in the Autonomous Administration, Hamdan Al-Abd, said: "Turkey is still continuing its bombardment of Ain Issa, Tel Tamr and Manbij, and the Syrian Democratic Forces have committed themselves to a ceasefire with a Russian guarantee."

Suspicious deal

Regarding the Russian role, Al-Abd pointed out that "Turkey did not stop the fire, and Russia did not intervene, but we say it is not a guarantor, but rather it is a partner from under the table to expand the Turkish geographical area in Syria, until it reaches the M4 international road as a complement to the agreement that took place in Idlib between it and Turkey; however, it is not able to control the M5 road between Lattakia and Damascus due to the presence of Jabhet al-Nusra there."

The point

"The concept of the occupation to cut off or control a geographical area may go beyond that to colonizing ideas for the coming generations, distorting history, plundering goods and changing demographics that contribute to stirring up sectarian strife in a country. This is what Turkey applies in the Syrian north from Idlib in the west to Ras al-Ain in the east which witnessed horrific practices against civilians by terrorist factions to displace them from their land."

Al-Abd continued his speech by saying: "As happened in Afrin, in terms of changing the names of streets and villages, as well as the displacement of people from there and the resettlement of mercenary families, also happened after the occupation of Ras al-Ain and Tel Abyad after Erdogan had transferred mercenaries and their families, after deporting them under what is known as "reconciliations" that took place between Russia and the opposition and Turkey behind it, which was negotiating in the name of these (mercenaries) who came from Ghouta in the countryside of Damascus, Homs, Daraa and other Syrian cities to Idlib."

Al-Abd stated: "After Russia, Iran and Turkey entered the line of negotiations on Syria, we did not see any representative from the regime or the opposition, and the meetings that were held in Astana and Sochi were the ones that decided war and playing with the blood of the Syrian people. After the Brotherhood project failed in the Middle East, Turkey attempted to carry out its efforts through those mercenaries in Syria."

Al-Abd added: "The mercenaries were transferred from Idlib to Jarablus in the northern countryside of Aleppo and the border with Turkey to the areas of Ras al-Ain and Tel Abyad, under the pretext that they are the original inhabitants of these areas, while they are in fact mercenaries transported by Turkey to where its interests are, after the Turkish occupation state occupied the border strip 30 km deep via these mercenaries under the pretext of protecting the northern borders of Turkey from terrorists, according to the statements of the President of the Justice and Development Party.

Deliberate dispossession

On the demographic change processes and efforts to annex the occupied territories to Turkey's political borders, Al-Abd said: "In the occupied areas, Turkish flags are raised in all schools, and the Turkish language is taught in them compulsorily, and when Erdogan occupied Afrin, Tel Abyad, and Ras al-Ain, he said "I will return its original people to it," but he displaced its people and made his mercenaries and their families live in the homes of the people of those areas."

Preparation for Turkification

Al-Abd explained that Turkish language imposed in the occupied territories, forcing civilians to learn it, as jobs were restricted to those who master the Turkish language. He added: "The people found themselves among limited options, either accepting Turkification, being mercenaries, or starving to death."

Al-Abd pointed out that Turkey continues to change the names of landmarks, streets and regions, and raises the Turkish flag, even as one of the schools in the Syrian region of Jarablus was named after "Erdogan's mother."

Al-Abd stated that "Turkey imposes the Turkish lira in the occupied areas, and dealing with it exacerbates the Syrians' suffering, besides the lack of income and high prices, especially after the imposition of economic crisis on Turkey as a result of its foreign policy, and interference in the affairs of neighboring countries."

The imposition of dealing in the Turkish lira indicates that the occupation state considers the occupied Syrian areas as an extension of it and its presence there will prolong, and in fact this is considered an economic occupation and an attempt to mitigate the effects of U.S. sanctions by increasing the demand for the Turkish lira.

Al-Abd stated: "Turkey imposed dealing with the Turkish currency in the occupied areas, especially after the low exchange rate of the Syrian pound, which made Turkey generalize dealing in the Turkish lira in the occupied areas, and he cited one of the videos that had been published on social media when someone burned the Syrian currency, and used the Turkish lira to promote it."

All thefts lead to Ankara

Al-Abd continued his speech by saying: "Erdogan and his mercenaries have targeted the Syrian citizen by their livelihood, stealing crops such as olives, cotton, barley and wheat, such as the theft of grain silos in the areas of Ras al-Ain and Tel Abyad, where these goods are shipped to Turkey, while the citizen suffers from their scarcity and high price."

Al-Abd added: "Even the stone has not been spared from the terrorism of the Turkish occupation state, as this state is trying to distort and steal the history and cultural heritage of the region, and the stealing of the region's antiquities does not aim for financial profit only, but rather to obliterate the historical, demographic and cultural identity."

The mercenaries of Ankara wreaked havoc and did not care about the international conventions signed on antiquities, so several hills in north and east Syria witnessed random excavations, and they were bulldozed with heavy machineries, as happened in Tel Halaf, in addition to the theft of Syrian antiquities which represent the memory of the region and its sale on the Turkish black market.

The Deputy Co-Presidency of the Autonomous Administration indicated that "Turkey wants to control the region from the sea to Kirkuk and Mosul in Iraq, and the Turkish state used to plunder the goods of the Iraqi and Syrian peoples, during ISIS' control of the region, Turkey was stealing Syrian oil and selling it in its markets under the supervision of Erdogan's son-in-law, and when it occupied the city of Tel Abyad, Turkey stole civilian homes, shops, and agricultural crops, and the antiquities in the region, sold them on the black market, and the aim of it was nothing but an obliteration of the identity of the people of the region."

Al-Abd pointed out: "Turkey depends on the method of killing and displacement in the region, and if we return to the memory, we see that the Ottoman Sultan used to kill his brother for fear that he would compete with him for power. The methods of torture developed by the Ottomans when they executed those who opposed them by hanging, spikes, guillotines and other things."

Al-Abed called for "the free people of the world, the United Nations, and every honorable person in the world that we want security to return to our regions and the occupier to be removed from our lands, so that all the Syrian people have equal rights and duties. We call on the international community to pressure Russia to play its role in the ceasefire in the regions of north and east Syria."
