SOHR: ISIS attacks caused 1525 Syrian deaths in 2020

According to a report compiled by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the SOHR, in reference to ISIS activeness on the Syrian soil, the report reveals that ISIS in 2020 was monitored in the Syrian Desert to a great extent. 

According to statistics collected by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the SOHR, 780 elements of the Syrian Government Forces were killed in ambushes, targets, shelling and clashes in the Syrian Desert, of whom 108 of the Pro-Iranian groups by ISIS mercenary groups, as 507 elements of the mercenary groups were killed in the same attacks and in bombardment by the Syrian Government and Russia Forces.

In North Eastern Syria, the  Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the SOHR, documented martyrdom of 208 people in bombings, ambushes  and targets in Deir al-Zor, Hasaka, Raqqa and Manbij. 

In the areas occupied by Turkey, the ISIS mercenary groups proceed their activities in such areas, as these activities were linked to a previously published information regarding a battalion made up of at least 40 ISIS mercenaries all Iraqis, affiliated to mercenary group of the Ahrar al-Sham affiliated to the Turkish Occupation Forces.

On June 20^th, 2020, it was obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the SOHR, that the person killed in the aerial strike in the city of al-Bab is a leading figure of the ISIS in Raqqa.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the battalion was charged with carrying out assassinations, and bombings, as well as recognizing the foreign ISIS elements trying to flee into Turkish territories, in addition to those hiding in rural Aleppo.
