Attempt to assassinate one of Anabza clan’s notables in Deir Ezzor

Armed men attempted to assassinate a dignitary of Anabza clan in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which led to his injury, and the perpetrator was not yet clear, amid an intense security operation in the northern countryside to uncover the circumstances of the incident.

According to our correspondent from the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, gunmen tried to assassinate Abdul-Jalil Al-Saleh Al-Hamad, a notable of Anabzeh clan from Al-Aqidat tribe, from the town of Khasham in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

Our correspondent, quoting the residents, indicated that gunmen who were on a motorcycle threw bullets at Abdel Jalil's car, causing him to be shot in the head in Ezbet area north of Deir Ezzor city, after which the gunmen fled.

Bbout his current health condition, according to the people of Abdul Jalil, he is currently receiving health care in a hospital in Hasaka.

Abdul-Jalil Al-Saleh had told our agency, earlier, about what aims of some parties and cells in the region, and said, "their first and last goal is to inflame sedition, strike security and stability, and spread chaos."
