38th Russian – Turkish joint patrol carried out in Darbassiye

The Russian –Turkish patrol set off from the Sherik military gap, some 13km to the west of the city of Darbassiye, and was made up of five Russian military vehicles and four Turkish vehicles as the Russian helicopters behind schedule to watch the patrol. 

The patrol passed through the villages in western Darbassiye of the Hasaka Canton, that are Sherik, Milik, Dilik, Aliya, Dhahr al-Arab and Kisra, in addition to the village of Qairawan, Te'lik, Kerkend, Iteshan, Qinetra and Qeremane, then it returned to the starting point at the village of Sherik, as Turkish armoured vehicles crossed into Turkish territories while the Russian ones headed to the Russian Base in the city of Qamishlo. .

This marks the 38^th joint patrol by the Russian Military Police and the Turkish Occupation Forces to be carried out in north eastern Syria, in compliance with the Sochi Understanding concluded on October 22 2019, between Russian president Vladimir Putin and Turkish counterpart Receb Tayyib Erdogan at the city of Sochi.
