Internal Security: Al-Risala Institute fire caused by electrical fire

The Public Media Center of the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria issued a statement refuting all the rumors and accusations that some parties spread about a fire in al-Risala Educational Institute, and the statement read:

"In the past two days, several pieces of news have spread that al-Risala and al-Khalil Teaching Institutes have been vandalized and burned on the night of Tuesday, December 22^nd, and some parties have been accused of being behind the two fires.

We, in the Internal Security Forces, note that our forces, upon the arrival of the fire report, which took place at al-Risala Institute, immediately went to help extinguish the fire and start the investigations, as the preliminary investigations indicated that the fire was caused by a short circuit according to eyewitnesses, and our investigations are still continuing to reach the fact and causes of the fire.

With regard to al-Khalil Institute, we confirm that the institute has not been subjected to any kind of vandalism or burning, and everything that was published about the fire contains fabricated and incorrect news.

We also affirm that our forces will not hesitate to defend the security and safety of citizens, and work day and night to eliminate all acts aimed at destabilizing our regions and spreading discord among the components of the people."
