The Russian – Turkish joint patrol that was commenced from the village of Ashme, and reached the Talat al-Iza'ah, in western Kobani, was made up of 11 armored vehicles, 4 Turkish and 7 Russians, passed through many villages in western Kobani.

Conducting such joint patrols are in line with the Sochi Agreement, signed by Russian president Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Receb Tayyib Erdogan, more than a year ago, after which Syrian Government Forces were deployed to Syrian –Turkish border, and the frontline areas with the Turkish Occupation Army, in addition to setting up of military bases by Russian Forces that were supposed to monitor ceasefire, as one of the main terms of the agreement, as well as carrying out patrols jointly by Russia and Turkey, in the border area.

As to the Syrian Democratic Forces, the SDF, they have abided fully by the terms of the Sochi Agreement, as the SDF withdrew from the border areas and observed ceasefire and never obstructed conducting joint patrols, but the Turkish side, from the very first day attacked the region, by bombardment and ground offensives, and drones, that led to tens of deaths and injuries, to which Russian Forces, though representing a Guarantor State, remain silent that arose popular discontent in North Eastern Syria.

In Ain Issa, mercenary groups affiliated to the Turkish Occupation Forces shell the town and outskirts on daily bases, in addition to ground offensives in a bid to advance and occupy new territories, but Syrian Democratic Forces, the SDF, up to date, have repelled all attacks and assaults with no changes on the ground.
