The observatory said that it had documented heavy human losses between the two sides since the beginning of this December, and stated that 64 elements of the government forces and their affiliates were killed in ambushes, explosions, targeting and clashes within the Syrian desert, and 39 ISIS mercenaries were killed in aerial and ground bombardment and clashes. The number of people killed on both sides was likely to increase, "due to the presence of dozens of wounded, some of them in critical situations," and the killing of element of the "Lebanese Hezbollah" forces was documented during the same period.

The observatory confirmed, "Military operations continue in the Syrian desert, within the Aleppo-Hama-Raqqa triangle, and to a lesser extent in the desert of Raqqa, Homs and Deir-ez-Zor."

It revealed the death toll from March 24, 2019 to today, which is: 1,084 government forces and those affiliated with them, of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, were killed during attacks, bombings and ambushes, in the deserts of Deir-ez-Zor, Raqqa, Homs and As-Suwayda, and 601 ISIS mercenaries were killed during the same period of the attacks, bombings and targeting.
