Syriac Military Council: We use legitimate defense to protect our villages, people

The Turkish occupation and the mercenaries of the so-called "Syrian National Army" continue their attacks on the regions of northern and eastern Syria, while the Russian "guarantor" and the forces of the Damascus government continue to neglect the situation.

For their part, the Tal Tamer and the Syriac Military Council confronted the infiltration of the occupation mercenaries on the outskirts of Tal Tamr district, the latest of which was the infiltration operation on the village of "Umm al-Kaif" northwest of Tal Tamr on the 8^th of this month, and as a result clashes broke out between the Syriac Council and the Tal Tamer Council Military and mercenaries of the Turkish occupation.

In this regard, the Syriac Military Council issued a written statement to the public opinion, confirming their use of their legitimate right to defend the regions of northern and eastern Syria from the attacks of the occupation and its mercenaries.

The text of the statement is:

As the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continue on our areas, the fighters of the Syriac Military Council thwarted an infiltration operation in the vicinity of the village of Umm al-Kaif, north of Tal Tamr.

Having been engaged in clashes, they resulted in deaths and injuries among the mercenaries, and our forces forced the rest of the mercenaries to flee.

The infiltration attempt foiled, the mercenaries supported by the Turkish enemy shelled the safe villages with artillery and mortar shells, and we, in turn, used our legitimate right to defend our villages and our people, and we targeted the sources of hostile fire, and all these attacks and others take place in the presence of the Russian international guarantor, and not to deter it from these attacks and the breaching violations of international agreements, and the inability of the Damascus government forces to participate in this resistance.

We, in turn, assure that we will not hesitate to defend our sanctities and our land against every attacker who threatens it and tries to tamper with its security and the safety of its citizens.
