Today, a statement was issued by Syria's Democratic Council, the SDC, to mark the fifth annual anniversary of the commencement of the council, indicating that such an occasion comes amid exceptional hygiene conditions due to the Covid-19 Pandemic outbreak, and occupation by Turkey of Syrian territories, and impediment of efforts to find a solution to the strain Crisis.

The statement reads as follows:

''December 9th, marks the fifth annual anniversary of establishment of Syria's Democratic Council, the SDC, as an alliance for Syrian powers, trends and entities that advocate for democracy, partnership and dialogue as a means to settle national issues, and meet aspiration of the Syrian people and preseve integrity of Syrian people and land.

Establishment of Syria's Democratic Council, the SDC, was a bid to rally round all Syrian democratic and national powers, and after associations by people in North Eastern Syria were formed under the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, and other military ones under Syrian Democratic Forces, the SDF, that fought terror and sacrificed thousands of martyrs, and to accomplish the political vision and be a reference to them all and as an expression to a national status and a project for all Syria.

All this coincides with exceptional hygienic conditions as all humanity due the Covid-19 Pandemic outbreak, adding new burdens to the Syrians' sufferings as displacement, deportation and looking for a means of living in the diaspora and refuge, to become a playing card by the two warring sides in Syria.

As well as occupation the Turkish Occupation State of vast Syrian soil in Sere Kaniye/ Ras al-Ain and Tal Abyad, as a continuation to it's expansionist policy in Syria after Jarablus, Azaz, al-Bab, Afrin and Idlib were all occupied using Syrian as mercenaries in it's beyond -border wars.

Efforts to find a political solution to the 10- years old Syrian Crisis are still impeded as all endeavours are deadlocked, amid absence of an international agreement by the influencing parties in the Syrian Crisis, in addition to the crisis of representation of Syrian will by the two sides of the struggle in Syria ( the Syrian Government and the Opposition), one is tyrannical destroyed the whole country and claims legitimacy to rule the country, and the other is yielded to regional agendas and antagonises the national solution endeavours.

Amid all this, Syria's Democratic Council, the SDC, as it was set up five years ago, is sparing no efforts to activate the national course and the third track that is based on the partnership, and preparing ground for all Syrians to play their roles.

Syria's Democratic Council, the SDC, is been on working according to patriotic vision, and strived to build national agreements by signing memos with Syrian national powers, and holding many meetings inside the country, as well as running workshops for dialogues outside the country with national figures and Patriotic and democratic opposition, that saw light in the Jazira and Euphrates National Conference attended by many societal elites in the Jazira and the Euphrates regions, after 13 preparatory meetings.

We, in the Syria's Democratic Council, the SDC, on this occasion, renew the allegiance given to the Syrian people to spare no efforts for the sake to achieve aspirations of the Syrian people and put an end to the aggravating Syrian Crisis, and to work to exit all occupiers from Syria and to build the new Syria on the basis of true and real citizenship and setting up the decentralization system.
