In NES regions hosts more than a million displaced persons who fled the battles between the Damascus government forces and Turkish mercenaries from various Syrian regions such as Aleppo and Idlib, in addition to those who were forcibly displaced from their areas by the Turkish occupation’s attacks and crimes such as Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî (Tal Abyad) .

The majority live in cities and schools, in addition to the presence of more than 125,000 of them in 15 camps in various regions of northeast Syria.

The international organizations do not provide any aid to these areas, after Russia vetoed the Security Council, according to which the Tel Koçber (Al-Yarubiyah) crossing, the only crossing designated for the entry of UN aid to the NES regions, was closed, as aid is currently passing through the government, which is using it as a political pressure card on the Autonomous Administration.

Paradox.

The Autonomous Administration, along with some local charitable societies, provides assistance and services to those arriving in its camps, including "protection, health care, water, and food."

This comes amid a clear failure by the UN organizations, and limiting the UN aid to the families of ISIS mercenaries in both the al-Hol and Roj camps.

In NES, there are two camps designated for ISIS families, Roj and Al-Hol, and they house nearly 65,000 people. As for the remaining 13 camps, the organizations do not operate in them.

Monitoring

Our correspondent monitored the conditions of the displaced in the Washokani camp, which is designated for families displaced by the Turkish occupation army's attacks on the city of Serêkaniyê on October 9, 2019, and the Al-Hol camp, which includes ISIS families.

In Washokani camp, which is located 12 km west of Al-Hasakah city, it is inhabited by more than 12,000 displaced persons.

The UN aid is denied to it, as the displaced receive aid mainly from the Autonomous Administration, along with the Kurdish Red Crescent, some local associations, and some philanthropists from the region.

In this context, Lawrence Al-Olaiwi, a displaced says: "So far, no organizations have helped us. We are receiving some basic needs come from the camp administration, and philanthropists."

Al-Olaiwi expressed his anger at the absence of international organizations and their limited support to the camps that house ISIS families, and he asked the organizations to provide them with support as well.

On her part, the official in the camp, Salwa Ayaz, said: "So far, no organizations have provided services. We have not been able to know the reasons behind their absence."

As for al-Hol camp, which is located 45 km east of Hasaka, it is one of the most dangerous camps in the world, due to the huge numbers of ISIS mercenary families within its 8 sections, the situation is completely different.

Our correspondent monitored the large movement of international organizations and humanitarian societies in the camp.

'NGOs in al-Hol camp'

Regarding the number of operating NGOs in the camp, Jaber Mustafa, a member of the Relations Office in the Camp Administration, said: “al-Hol camp receives varied services, through 34 international humanitarian organizations and local associations, and work is carried out, in particular, on the migrant women's department,” referring to him to ISIS women who are of Arab and foreign nationalities.

Among the operating  NGOs in the camp; they are International Red Cross, the World Health Organization, UNICEF, the United Nations Population Fund, the World Food Program, the Syrian Arab Crescent, HD, IVP, Médecins Sans Frontières, the Mar Ephrem Organization, the Deir Mar Yaqoub Organization, Mar Asia, Save the Children, NRC, IRC, Mentor, CARE, Mercy Corp, Reach, Chan, Concern, Relief, ACTED, Cuba, HI Inclusion, Mawaddah Society, The Association Al-Yamamah, Al-Amani Charitable Society, Al-Salam Center, and the Smart Center.

Our correspondent tried to contact some international societies, especially those of the United Nations, to comment on the matter, but he did not receive a response from them.

'The United Nations acts according to the whims of the Damascus government'

However, a source in the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in the city of Qamishlo, "who preferred not to reveal his name," spoke about the reasons, and said: "The UNHCR and most of the United Nations organizations working in Syria seek to win the consent of the Damascus government, and implement the government's instructions without ever being paying attention to the humanitarian situation of the IDPs. "

The source pointed out that the representative of the High Commissioner for Refugees and Displaced Persons in Syria, Iyaki Ito, supports the positions of the Damascus government, and does not deviate from the framework that the government and its security institutions have set for him. He said, "He is working according to the directives of Damascus."

'The Damascus government does not want to help the displaced'

The source added: "After the Turkish attack on Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî / Tal Abyad, the governor of Hasaka met with representatives and officials of humanitarian organizations, including the UNHCR, and during the meeting the governor called on organizations not to provide assistance to the displaced, and not to support the camps that open in the region, and demanded them. By keeping the displaced in schools, the education process supervised by the Autonomous Administration will be hindered. "

'fact'

In confirmation of what the source has presented, the Director of the Office of Displaced Persons and Refugees in the Autonomous Administration, Sheikmous Ahmed, said: “Unfortunately, this is a reality.”

A mechanism for providing aid to the displaced. "

Observers believe that the failure of the United Nations organizations to provide aid to the displaced in northern and eastern Syria is due to the fact that the whole process is politicized because this organization is moving according to the dictates of its supporters, as well as in an attempt to conceal the demographic change processes taking place in Syria and the crimes they commit. The parties behind it, especially Turkey.
