As part of its efforts to reduce tension among the Kurdish parties, a delegation from the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) held meetings in Southern Kurdistan with organizations, political parties and civil organizations, and the delegation revealed through a statement that they met with several parties unless the Kurdistan Democratic Party that has not responded to the meeting request so far.

Commenting on the delegation's visit and the position of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, the Co-chair of the Democratic Society Movement Council in the Euphrates region Osman Khalaf said: "KNK visited Başûr Kurdistan with the aim of easing tension among the Kurdish parties and uniting them at the international level. In return, the KDP issues its negative stances towards these attempts."

He explained that these positions are a reflection of the demands of the Kurdish people's enemies to disperse the Kurdish ranks and their views, and seek to occupy Kurdistan in its four parts.

Khalaf pointed out that "after the failure of the Turkish occupation state's attacks in Başûr Kurdistan, Turkey has been working to dismantle the Kurdish parties and divide their opinions, positions. Furthermore, it is seeking to ignite a war among the Kurds in Southern Kurdistan to facilitate the occupation of Kurdistan."

The Kurdistan Democratic Party, with its positions, disperses the Kurdish parties

Khalaf asserted that the Kurdistan Democratic Party, with its stances, "allows the Kurdish parties to disperse and occupy Kurdistan because it seeks to achieve its partisan and family interests and thus remains under the influence of the Turkish enemy. In addition, its relations with Turkey negatively affect its stances on the Kurdish issue."

KDP does not always display positive positions

He noted that the delegation aims to bring about consensus and rapprochement among the Kurdish parties, especially after the recent differences, and said: "The Kurdistan Democratic Party does not always display positive and clear positions on the Kurdish issue and takes steps backward."

The meetings were attended by a number of members of the congress, including the co-president Ahmed Qarmous, in addition to Asia Abdullah, Abdel Hadi Ahmed and a number of politicians, and the participants discussed Kurdish issues, especially the recent escalation and tension in the region, with the aim of reducing tension among the Kurdish forces.

The Kurdish issue is one, and the Kurds' interest is one

Osman Khalaf pointed out that the Kurds have one interest, and added: "Because the Kurdish issue is one and the stances shown by the Kurdistan Democratic Party pose a threat to Başûr Kurdistan," noting that "the occupation forces seek to exploit the tension among the Kurdish parties to occupy Kurdistan."

He said: "When the Kurds agree among themselves and get united in opinions and steps, the occupation forces will intensify their attacks on Kurdistan because they see the Kurdish unity as a threat to them, so they always work to disperse the Kurdish ranks."

Khalaf points out that in the current century there are many changes taking place in the Middle East, and he said: "The Kurds must seize this opportunity to achieve their goals and solve the Kurdish issue, but if they remain in this state, they will be defeated like the rest of the centuries."

Khalaf called on the Kurdistan Democratic Party to clarify its positions, correct its mistakes, take positive positions on the Kurdish issue, and contribute to achieving the unity of the Kurdish ranks in the four parts of Kurdistan.
