Well informed sources told ANHA that the Turkish Occupation Forces since a month are pumping water just for an hour per day, and that employees are not allowed to reach the water station.

According to sources in question, pumping water has been stopped completely from the Elok Water Station, for the last 15 days, as the electric power that feeds the water station is being taken by mercenaries of the so-called Syrian National Army that are stationed at villages adjacent to the water station, and that the electric power feeds the water station, but it is insufficient as it is mostly taken by mercenaries, so water never reaches the city of Hasaka.

On March 21st, 2020, all employees at the Elok Water Station were expelled by Turkish Occupation Forces and the affiliated mercenaries, on which the densely populated city of Hasaka and home to thousands of IDPs from the Sere Kaniye and neighbouring villages on frontlines was kept out of drinking water for more than a month.
