''Live shields'' campaign goes on

The activity that was launched two days ago, by Yazidi Youths Union and Yazidi Female Youths Union, set up a sit- in tent in the region of columns, as it is known, on the road leading to the region of ''Mount Mira'', highest mount in Shengal, to form human shields to encounter the advancing Iraqi Forces that intend to deploy to Shengal Mountain.

Tens of male and female youths are taking part in the activity from the Shengal region.

In concurrence with that, Dijwar Feqir, Commander -In - Chief of the Shengal Resistance Units, the YBŞ, paid a visit yesterday, to the tent, where he delivered a speech in which he pointed out that their bids are in line with interests and demands of the people of Shengal, and assuring that they are abided to decision taken by the Yazidi people and their preparedness to the protection of gains made by the people in Shengal.  

To this, the tent activity proceeds on, in utter rejection to the agreement concluded by the Federal Iraqi Government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, the KRG,  of Southern Kurdistan, on administrative and security issues in Shengal without taking into account the will of the people of Shengal, amid rejection to sending of Iraqi Army Troops to be deployed to the region.
