For more than a year, the attacks and crimes of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in the NE Syria regions have not stopped. It targeted the unarmed even those in the areas under the influence of the forces of the ceasefire guarantors.

In spite of the international resolutions and agreements on a ceasefire and the US state of emergency in Syria, which was extended on the 9th of this month, and held Turkey accountable for endangering civilians' lives, it keeps attacking these regions.

"Hawar" news agency interviewed the official spokesperson for the SMC, Aram Hanna, to shed the light on the recent attacks and the damage by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in the region, and Turkey's breach of the ceasefire.

Hanna said at the outset of his speech: "The military operation launched by the Turkish occupation, accompanied by its mercenaries, has left great damage at all levels, in addition to displacing of thousands of people from the region and the demographic change, not to mention the daily violations in the occupied area.

ISIS and Turkey's mercenary's common mentality

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries-controlled areas are witnessing the destruction of churches and theft, in addition to displacement.

He pointed out: "A state of panic prevails because of the ISIS-like-mentality of the mercenaries and the Turkish occupation, :" The people are afraid of repeating the 2015 massacres by ISIS in the region. " he said.

The shy stance by the international community

After one year of Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî / Tal Abyad occupation, the UN and the international community did not take a serious position on the Turkish massacres in NE Syria.

Hanna notes, "The Turkish violations have been going on from the day one of the ceasefire agreement till now."

He continued: "Systematic and ongoing bombardment of villages in the lines of contact went on, in addition to cutting off water from Alouk station on more than a million people Al-Hasakah and its suburbs."

He added, "The role of the international community is very shy, so key farces did not put pressure on the Turkish occupation to stop these systematic violations against the people of the region."

Welcoming the extension of the state of emergency

On the extension of US state of emergency by Trump, Hanna said, " This step by an active party in the Syrian affairs is welcomed by us as we consider it a positive case for the stability of the region, but it is not sufficient to reassure the peoples of the region and undermine the ongoing Turkish attacks in case their happening. "

He called on the international community, saying: "The international active forces in the region should exercise their actual role in the NE Syria regions to restore the occupied areas by Turkey and its mercenaries, in addition to their responsibility to protect the components of the region."

The guarantor forces should stop Turkey

Since the announcement of the ceasefire agreement, the Syrian Democratic Forces have been committed to it in order to protect the region and refrained from any provocative act, contrary to what the occupation and its mercenaries are doing.

He says: "The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries do not respect the agreements that stipulated the ceasefire, so we call on the guarantor forces to stop Turkey violations."

We rule out a new process and we will respond if it occurs

Aram Hanna continued his speech by saying: "The front lines are witnessing intense movements of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, especially near the M4 international highway west of Tal Tamr."

Hanna ruled out that these moves would be a preparation for a new military operation in the region, "but it causes tension in the region."

He added, "Our forces are deployed on all contact lines with the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, and fully prepared to repel any potential aggression against the region."

Not to be drawn behind rumors

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have recently spreading rumors within the framework of the special war, with the aim of emptying the border areas and carrying out the demographic change in them.

Hanna concluded his speech by saying: "Turkish ambitions have no limit in our regions, as they always aim to destroy the project built in the regions of the NE Syria, so we ask the people not to believe such rumors that aim to destabilize the security and stability of the region."
