Within the series of meetings held by the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in all parts of northern and eastern Syria to discuss the latest political developments, touch on what is happening in the Syrian and regional arena and explain it to the people, the party held today a meeting for the people of Okaz town, west of Tel Hamis district.

The Administrator of the Party's Office in Tel Hamis district, Ghaleb al-Saadoun, the elders of the clans and the townspeople participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, al-Saadoun spoke about the special war that is being run by external and internal parties with the aim of destabilizing security and stability in the regions of northern and eastern Syria and spreading chaos.

While addressing the people, he said: "We must not be up for grabs for Turkey and the greedy countries in our region. We must manage the special methods of warfare represented by advertisements, propaganda and rumors that spread intellectual poisons in our regions to destabilize thought and security in general."

He also said: "The solidarity of the components guarantees victory, when the Arabs and the Kurds united in the present, they within the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were able to defeat terrorism and ISIS mercenaries in the region.

He added: "We are the owners of this land and we deserve to live in it and defend it."

In turn, the Member of the Democratic Union Party in the Tel Hamis district, Saleh al-Khalaf, said that Erdogan wants to annex new areas to his country in order to obtain the votes of Turkish public opinion in the upcoming elections, as he lost the largest cities in the local elections. He indicated that Turkey suffers from its failure to solve the Kurdish issue and to use fascist non-democratic methods to deter demands calling for freedom and equality, and it suffers from an economic crisis, so it is attacking the whole region.
