Hundreds of residents of Tal Tamr district in Hasaka canton gathered in front of the Martyrs' Families Council on Monday to take part in a demonstration called by the council of the district to condemn the Turkish occupation's attacks on the regions of northern and eastern Syria and the Haftanin Mountains and the isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The demonstration began in front of the Families of Martyrs Council, and the demonstrators held large banners reading "No to the Turkish occupation", "No to the demographic change in Afrin, Serekaniye and Girê Spi / Tal Abyad", "Let us defeat the occupation and protect the values ​​of our revolution", and another written on it "Let us defeat the occupation." Let us end the isolation, "in addition to raising the flags of political parties, Kongra Star, the flags of the Syrian Democratic Forces, and pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The demonstration that roamed the main streets of the city, during which the participants chanted slogans calling for the freedom of the leader and condemning the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on parts of Kurdistan.

The demonstration stopped at the end of Palestine Street and turned into a mass gathering, during which a speech was given by a member of the General Administration of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), Abdul Karim Sarokhan.

At the beginning of his speech, he saluted the peoples of the region with all its components and the military forces standing on the lines of contact, saying, "Thanks to the solidarity of the peoples of the region and the determination of the military forces to confront terrorism, we were able to stop the attacks on our regions and defeat the terror organized by the Turkish occupation over the past nine years."

"Through our demonstrations and our one voice, we confirm our total rejection of the Turkish occupation attacks, and the return of the Ottoman Empire to the region, and we also reject the demographic change in our occupied areas and the massacres against the peoples of the region and its various components," he said.

Sarokhan explained in his speech, that "we won our war" and now we are entering a new phase, which requires standing together once again to win in the next stage, since there are major changes in the forces present inside the Syrian territories.

At the end of his speech, Sarokhan asserted that "the peoples of northern and eastern Syria, with all their components, were able to put their mark on history, and in this spirit they will be able to continue the resistance until they reach their goals by organizing themselves again."

The demonstration ended by chanting slogans that salute the resistance of the peoples of the region and the Kurdish people in all parts of Kurdistan, and calls for an end to isolation on the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan.
