The Security Media Cell said in a statement: "The Green Zone was hit at exactly one o'clock in the morning, when two Katyusha rockets fell," according to what Sky News reported.

The statement added that the two missiles were countered by the air through the "Ceram" defense system of the US embassy located in the Green Zone in Baghdad.

In addition, the statement emphasized that "there are no losses or damages" as a result of the two rockets, indicating that the launching of the two missiles was from the Ali al-Saleh area in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

It should be mentioned that since October 2019, Iraq has witnessed dozens of attacks targeting US military and diplomatic interests.
