The public symposium organized by the Syrian Democratic Council under the slogan "Towards a National Conference for al-Jazeera and the Euphrates People" which started this afternoon in the city of al-Hasakah continues with the presence of more than 500 political, tribal and social figures.

The public symposium entered its second axis under the title of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue: "Dialogue with the Opposition, Dialogue with the Government, Kurdish-Kurdish Dialogue and Its Reflection on the Political Solution," through a lecture given by Amina Omar, the Co-Chair of the Syrian Democratic Council.

Amina Omar began her lecture by touching on the meetings and conferences that were held in connection with resolving the Syrian crisis, saying: "All the meetings and conferences that have been held so far regarding the Syrian crisis have not reached any solutions that may help in solving it because all the components of Syria have not participated in these meetings and conferences, especially the absence of the components of northern and eastern Syria."

Amina Omar noted that the Syrian Democratic Council has held many meetings and conferences in order to reach a political solution that guarantees the participation of all Syrians in the solution, and to bring Syria to safety, calling all the parties to the democratic opposition in Syria, and managing to reach many recommendations and decisions to work on to solve the crisis.

Amina Omar added that the opposition moved from its internal meetings and conferences abroad, and held many meetings abroad with the opposition, all of which culminated in an agreement on the necessity of holding a national conference for the democratic opposition forces before reaching a comprehensive Syrian conference for the Syrian opposition, but the mechanism for working on this the kind of conferences were stopped due to the Corona pandemic, stressing the continued preparation for these conferences.

Amina Omar indicated that the continuing meetings with the Syrian opposition parties and forces resulted in the People's Will Party reaching a memorandum of understanding between the two parties in the Russian capital, Moscow, which adopted clarification of the political system that will be relied upon in Syria, the system of government, the rights of the rest of the components in the country, how the country will be managed, the form the Autonomous Administration and its future, in addition to the privacy of the Syrian Democratic Forces and its future role.

Amina Omar added: "We are now continuing our dialogues with all parties, and this kind of public seminars that are held are only in this endeavor, which will be completed to culminate in a national conference for the people of al-Jazeera and the Euphrates." She made clear that such a kind of dialogues and contacting with all spectra of society in the region is very important for the development of Administration in the region, the Administration that came as a result of the great sacrifices made by the people of the region.

Amina Omar also addressed in her lecture the dialogue with the Syrian government, and said: "The region has had many meetings with the Syrian government, and we have always sought to reach points of understanding that serve the country. However, the Syrian government's keeping of its stubborn position on the region's project did not lead the meetings to tangible and real results."

Amina Omar indicated that it was the Syrian government that did not help in reaching solutions that satisfy all parties, it is the one that foils the meetings, contributed to keeping them as mere meetings, did not rise to the level of dialogue, and that the conclusion drawn by the Syrian government is that the Syrian government categorically refuses to engage in a Syrian-Syrian dialogue, which became the main obstacle to reaching a solution to the Syrian crisis.

Regarding the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue, Amina Omar explained that the initiative launched by the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, was welcomed by all Syrian political parties, especially the Kurdish ones, specifically the Kurdish Street, and that this initiative was necessary to unify the Kurdish ranks, saying: "The Syrian Democratic Forces welcome this step, which may be entitled to influence the rest of the parties to unify the ranks, and unify the various political parties and opposition forces under a comprehensive political umbrella, serving the Syrian people."

Amina Omar emphasized that the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue that is taking place now is not at the expense of the rest of the components of the region, but rather that, it will benefit all components of the region and preserve the unity of the Syrian territories, according to Resolution 2254.

At the end of her lecture, she noted that there is a conflict in Syria, so the Syrians must agree with each other at the dialogue table, and push the political process forward, which will close the way to any external interference and help reaching a solution to the Syrian crisis away from any greedy foreign plans in the country.
