Final statement of intellectual symposium invites concerned authorities to adopt their proposals

The intellectual symposium continued the second day in a row, with a number of lectures and discussions.

The evening sessions included a lecture by Lawyer Awass diversity and the effects of the special war.

Awas stressed the need to fight the corrupt, saying: "Corruption is one of the most important factors of private warfare against the society."

At the end of the seminar, the closing statement read:

After two days of extensive discussions, the activities of the Dialogue Forum on Special Warfare that was organized by the Academies of the Democratic Society, with wide participation of intellectuals, representatives of political parties, jurists, activists and a number of independent personalities, and members and administrators of the Autonomous Administration and civil institutions, concluded in Kobani.

Based on the danger of the private war on society, its values and cultures, the forum discussed the dangerous method of wars is and how to confront it, in addition to shedding light on its most prominent tools and loopholes that are exploited by hostile parties to practice this war.

The discussions that took place in a democratic atmosphere, showed that this method of warfare is now practiced in the regions of northern and eastern Syria by several hostile parties to achieve several goals. Perhaps the most prominent of which is ending the state of social harmony and the gains in the society.

The gathering warned of the dangers of the special psychological war that the region is exposed to, and stressed the need to pay attention to it to overcome the negative effects of this type of war. There are several parties trying to find footholds in the region through different means to influence the region components.

During the forum, it was pointed out that the enemy exploits many gaps and they must be addressed, stressing the need for the administration to pay more attention to community issues, and inform society about the dangers of this method of warfare through the establishment of awareness programs, seminars, dialogues and meetings. 

The discussions have made clear that recruiting agents is one of the most prominent tools of special warfare. Society division is considered a strategic goal for the enemy.

 And that the developing professional media is able to confront this war is very important, and the weak response to this war is a result of the weakness of the media role.

Therefore, it is possible to use media expertise to benefit from it in strengthening the existing media institutions that have a duty to confront the private war.

One of the most effective methods in facing this war is addressing weaknesses, evaluating all problems, developing strategic plans to solve them and building a close relationship based on trust and national spirit between the administration and the people. This requires development in the work of institutions.

In addition to increasing awareness among the various groups of society, especially the young group, raising awareness of the dangers of social media, which are among the most prominent and dangerous tools of special warfare. A conscious person is able to confront this war and besiege its effects.

It is also necessary to work on improving the educational reality and consolidating it among the community to contribute to raising the level of awareness, science and knowledge.

In addition to focusing on supporting and developing the national economy and self-sufficiency as ways to confront the special war and setting up a mechanism to work to encourage the people of the region abroad to return and contribute effectively to the development of the region’s reality.

The meeting stressed the need for the forum’s proposals to be adopted to turn into projects and create appropriate mechanisms for their implementation by the concerned authorities and establishing follow-up committees concerned with this topic.
