After holding a symposium on the sociology of the Euphrates region, the Academy of Democratic Society held one on special warfare and ways of countering the spy rings of the Turkish occupation. The first day was concluded with a set of proposals.

In the presence of a number of civil society institutions, administrative institutions and political parties, the Academy of Democratic Society in the Euphrates region held a seminar on the Turkish special warfare.

Co-president of the Academy of Democratic Society in the Euphrates region, Shervan Muslim, said, "In society, there are unacceptable matters against our society and values. Therefore, we invited all civil society institutions and community elders to this symposium."

He added, "The critical stage that society went through was migration and displacement as a result of the war launched by ISIS on the city of Kobani. This migration caused a lot of change in the foundations and social values. Now, we see some cases of abuse and cases of employment that serve countries and regimes hostile to our people. Therefore, we hope that they will be such seminars are an entry point to the solution".

This was followed by a speech on behalf of the Academy of Democratic Society delivered by the academic Professor Jiwan Akry, in which he stated: “There are no methods of killing left that are practiced by the Turkish occupation state on the society" It came to special warfare, which is a war aimed at destroying society.

He added, "Private warfare affects society through false propaganda to paralysis it."

This was followed by a recorded speech by the Commander in Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, in which he said, "All preparations must be made to stand in the face of the ideological invasion that the enemy is following."

After that, a lecture was given by Idris Naasan, in which he lectured about special warfare, its applications and methods of standing against it.

He mentioned that "One of the methods of warfare is the demographic warfare against the people of Afrin, Girê Spi and Serêkaniyê, and all this is to exterminate the Kurdish culture."

The lecturer also stated, "Targeting clans in our societies comes with the aim of striking all segments of society against the Autonomous Administration in order to create a rift between the administration and its people, as happened in Deir ez-Zor," .

The attendees participated in the second hour of the symposium in discussions, ideas and social problems, which could be the path that provides the enemy with an opportunity through which he can penetrate into society.

 Among them, Judge Abdullah Jassim’s speech in which he said: “We must put in place ways to prevent abuse, establish centers for drug users and prosecute drug traffickers, because the spread of drugs in society is one of the goals and applications of special warfare.”

The Co-chair of the Martyrs' Families Council, Suleiman Suleiman, also participated in the discussion, and said: "This war is fiercer than the field war, because the cold war in which the enemy depends on destroying society."

He added, "The Turkish occupation wants at the present time to stand before the public consciousness. It wants to prevent the people from being saved from the dark ages that we were living in at the hands of previous governments."

Suleiman also said, "The Turkish occupation is now trying to paralyze the movement of society and the administration, and the best example is what happened in Al-Hasakah in terms of cutting off water. This occupation cut off the water to tell the community that your administration is unable to meet the people's needs."

In the second phase of the symposium, Professor Dalil Afrin gave a lecture on media and false media propaganda.

The lecturer stated that the media should be more credible and expose the practices and violations that target the peoples of the region, for this reason, modern media should get support.

After the lecture, several discussions went on media's influence in the world and in Rojava in particular. The discussions also addressed the need to give importance to the media, as it represents the main pillar of a successful society.

At the end of the dialogue, the participants reached several proposals, which are reflected in the following: The method of special warfare has existed for thousands of years and it is now practiced on the peoples of northern and eastern Syria.

In addition to the gaps that the enemy exploits, the administration must fill them, and the administration must turn to social problems and address them, and the participants emphasized the development of the media and its use in a language that society understands and preparing society from the inside to stand in the face of the intellectual invasion practiced on the peoples of North and East Syria.

Moving away from confusion in administrative decisions and not issuing and retracting decisions, re-studying appointments in the administration to put the right person in the right place.
