Sou villages of Raqqa call for annexing their areas to Autonomous Administration areas

During the period of their intervention in the Syrian territories, the forces loyal to the Syrian government formed several militias that carried the sectarian ideology, and today they are threatening the people in the areas under the control of these militias, especially after several cases of killing occurred against the people there, and the fingers of accusation were directed at the militias loyal to the Syrian government.

The notable of al-Ali clan, Sheikh Ramadan al-Rahhal, in a special interview with Hawar News Agency, confirmed that the Arab tribes in the areas controlled by the Syrian government and the militias affiliated with it in the countryside of Raqqa, had made several appeals to them to save them from the militia threat and demanded that they transfer these appeals to the Syrian Democratic Forces and the International Coalition.

Sheikh Ramadan Al-Rahal added: "The repeated practices and mass killings in the desert of Al-Sabkha and Ma'dan, which the people of the countryside of Raqqa have been subjected to, have claimed dozens of lives and this danger still threatens the residents there."

Ramadan Al-Rahal added: “These areas are administratively affiliated with the province of Raqqa, which is located today within the Autonomous Administration areas of northern and eastern Syria. It is better for these areas to be annexed to Raqqa, not to be under the authority of the Syrian government and those militias, as families today are divided, and borders placed between them because of the presence of these militias.

Al-Ali clan notable added : "The appeals are issued by Syrians and they have the right to choose the form of administration in which their regions are managed, not to impose sectarian agendas on them and to be exposed to continuous violations and ugly massacres."

At the end of his speech, Al-Ali clan notable demanded the Syrian Democratic Forces to meet the desires of the people in the countryside of Raqqa, to annex those areas to northern and eastern Syria, which enjoy the stability that the countryside of Raqqa, which is under the control of the Syrian government.

It is worth noting that the areas of the southern countryside of Raqqa, which are under the Syrian government, start from the village of Shanan, passing through several villages and towns in addition to the city of Maadan and reaching the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, and these areas witnessed a number of killings, in which many people were killed in the countryside of Raqqa.
