Dozens of members of the MFC, unions and institutions gathered at the Shrine of the Martyrs of the Afrin Resistance, located in the Aras district in al-Shahba canton, and stood for a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs, followed by a reading of a statement by Dara Salman, a member of the council, he said:

"At a time when the Turkish occupation state and its affiliated terrorist factions are still violating the agreements and understandings concluded between it and the Russian and American sides to cease fire in the occupied areas in Ras al-Ain / Serêkaniyê and Tal Abyad / Girê Spi, in light of the continuation of demographic change in the region and attacking the civilian population, and practicing all methods that are inconsistent with international law, such as killing, kidnapping, blackmailing and ransom, One of the mercenary groups "Al-Mu'tasim Division", destroyed the shrine of martyrs in the city of Ras Al-Ain / Serekaniye, turning it into a headquarters for them and raising the Turkish flag on it. This constitutes a war crime according to Rule 113 of the statements of international humanitarian law and the Hague Convention 1907 and the Geneva Conventions and their Protocols. In addition, the attack on the dead and the mutilation of their corpses is considered a crime against the dignity of humanity punishable by the statute of the International Criminal Court.

We in the Afrin and al-Shahba Martyrs' Families Council condemn and denounce in the strongest terms the crime of assaulting the remains of our sons and daughters who sacrificed their pure lives in order to eliminate terrorism that was threatening the whole world. We also call on the international community and the Global Coalition to fight ISIS and the guarantor countries; Russia and America to criminalize these acts and hold the perpetrators accountable. And those who provide them with funding and care for their crimes in the occupied areas of northern Syria and submit these violations to the International Criminal Court to hold the perpetrators of this crime accountable, which is inconsistent with all international norms and conventions. Then the statement concluded by chanting slogans that salute the martyrs and denounce the barbarism of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.
