Syrian News Agency SANA said, "The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns in the strongest terms the ongoing crime committed by the Turkish regime by cutting drinking water to more than a million Syrian citizens in the city of Hasaka and its vicinity."

The ministry added that the Turkish regime and its tools have used water as a weapon of war against Syrian civilians, including women, children and the elderly, and this constitutes a war crime and a crime against humanity under international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions, and the ministry also claimed that this is done with the blessing of the US administration.

The Ministry warned of the continuation of this disaster and warns the parties claiming their concern for international humanitarian law and the lives of civilian citizens of the consequences of the continued use of water as a means of war.

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continue to cut the water from the Alouk station, which feeds Hasakah and its environs, which provoked many reactions condemning this.
